The holiday will be from October 1 (Thursday) to October 7 (Wednesday), 2026 (7 days in total).

Work will resume as normal on Thursday, October 8, 2026.

National Day of the People’s Republic of China is celebrated on October 1 every year. It commemorates the founding of the People’s Republic of China on October 1, 1949. As one of China’s most important national holidays, it usually forms a seven-day holiday known as “Golden Week.” During this period, people across the country celebrate with flag-raising ceremonies, cultural activities, fireworks, travel, and family gatherings. The festival symbolizes patriotism, national unity, and pride in the country’s development and achievements.
